Style: Latin, Vocal & Funky Electro House

It all started for Alex back in his home town of Mexico City in his teens. Influenced by bossa nova, and other South American beats, he developed an interest in latin jazz, and, after moving to Europe, performed classically throughout Belgium, before moving back to Mexico and becoming immersed in Mexico City's vibrant clubbing scene. His love for all things house and a passion for traditional south american grooves combined together and in 2003 he started playing latin house, along with progressive house, in southern Mexico City's best clubs, until he moved to London in 2005.

In London, Alex's fervour for latin house became influenced by the cities funky, vocal, and electro house atmosphere, which led him to develop his own musical style, technique and flavour. In 2007 he played for the first time in Ibiza, and he has not looked back. In 2008 he has become a regular face, performing in some of Londons best and coolest clubs, including Koko, Pacha, Ministry of Sound,and Brixton Academy.

Alex's passion and exquisite latin grooves provide a soulful, uplifting clubbing experience, before he really kicks the night off and leads the crowd into a dancing frenzy with his pulsating mix of funky electro beats. Alex has a style unlike any other DJ in London, and it is this style, and his ability to read the crowd and drop the coolest, newest sounds, which will make him one to watch this year
